Version 2.8.0 with new Itch packaging
Version 2.8.0 of Block Attack Rise of the Blocks was released almost a month ago.
A thing not mentioned in the official changelog is the new way the Itch-version is packaged.
Earlier standalone versions always had the version number as part of the folder structure. This allowed people to have multiple different versions installed side by side. This is a feature that I prefer myself.
It did however cause problems for Itch. New versions did not overwrite old versions and users were asked questions that made no sense.
From version 2.8.0 the Itch version no longer have the version number in the directory name. The Linux version is now simple "blockattack-linux-itch". People that upgrade from 2.7.0 might still get questions but for new users this is hopefully a relic of the past.
Versions downloaded from Github still contains the version number.
